National Bike Week
Monday 21 - Sunday 27 2010

Cycle Chester encouraged all residents in the area to get on their bike to celebrate Bike Week. A whole host of fun, free and exciting cycling activities were available throughout the city to reintroduce people to the benefits of cycling.

Local businesses also got involved by taking part in a corporate challenge. Teams of four from local businesses took part in the challenge on a stage in Town Hall Square throughout the week.  Each person had to sprint 500m on a static bike.  The teams with the best times went through to the grand finals on Cycle Sunday where Cruise Nightclub became the overall winners of the competition.

The general public were also invited up to the stage to try out the static bikes and see what time they could score over a 500m distance.
