Local Lockers
New bike lockers have been installed by Cycle Chester at the Wrexham Road Park and Ride site and on Princess Street in Chester City Centre. The installation of the new lockers provides a safe and secure place for cyclists to leave their bikes when commuting in to the city centre.

Cyclists commuting in to work can park at the Wrexham Road Park and Ride site for free and cycle the 15 minutes along cycle paths and low traffic routes in to the city centre to their place of work. Ideal for avoiding the traffic congestion heading into the city centre, this route also provides a great way to get your 30 minutes of exercise each day that the UK government recommends adults should aim to do at least five or more days a week.
The new lockers, which can be rented by cyclists for £15 per quarter or £45 per annum, are part of Cycle Chester’s ongoing improvement to cycling infrastructure in Chester. The installation of these lockers are in addition to the community cycle parking scheme that Cycle Chester have already launched, providing local organisations with the chance to have 4 cycle stands free of charge.
Six new lockers have also been installed by the Market Car Park on Princess Street which can be rented for the same amount. If cyclists would like to rent a locker at both sites the cost will be £20 per quarter or £60 per annum.

Park That Bike
Cycle Chester are offering free cycle parking stands for organisations in the area. Community groups, small businesses, shops, offices, churches and voluntary sector groups can apply cycle stands free of charge. Up to four stands - that's parking for eight bikes - are available per applicant, each holds two bikes neatly and securely.
The recipient is responsible for installing them, on their own premises, in a location agreed with the scheme organiser. Installing secure cycle parking will encourage staff and visitors to arrive by bike and shows that the organisation is doing its bit to reduce its carbon footprint.
